Here's the real me.
My name is Colleen and my goal is to help as many women as I can to ditch dieting, master their habits and create healthier lifestyles.
Losing weight is hard. Keeping it off can feel impossible. Thankfully, with the right tools and strategies you can get there and I can show you how.
How I got here.
Since my childhood I struggled with digestive issues and as an adult I began putting on extra weight and finding it hard to get through my days with low energy. I developed a wicked caffeine habit and literally started drinking diet cola from the moment I woke up in the morning until I fell into bed at night. As a mother of 3 young children I consistently put everyone else's needs before mine. I knew I needed to clean up my eating but I didn't know where to start. As for workouts I couldn't imagine how'd I'd find the time or the energy.
After I turned 40 I became a distance runner and in turn began to focus on my health and wellness. In a way, I became my very first client. Through my own research and working with my own health coach I experienced a dramatic transformation. Not only did I lose weight but I've since uncovered the types of food my body thrives on and which ones give me issues. I've learned how to menu plan & meal prep like a pro so I no longer struggled with that never ending question of what's for dinner. I've given up diet soda and no longer go through my days in a fog. Running has become part of my lifestyle beyond a scheduled workout.
I was so inspired by my transformation that I knew I wanted to help others facing similar issues.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where we learned not just about the food we eat but all of the factors that affect our overall health. Nutrition and exercise isn't a one size fits all and feeling deprived or punished isn't the answer to long term wellness. I continue to study and learn about ways to support my clients on their path to success.
When I'm not filling my days with work that I love I enjoy spending time with friends and family, running just about anywhere outdoors, trying out new recipes and new restaurants, reading and traveling. In short life is really good!
