Since my childhood I struggled with digestive issues and as an adult I began putting on extra weight and finding it hard to get through my days with low energy. I developed a wicked caffeine habit and literally started drinking diet cola from the moment I woke up in the morning until I fell into bed at night. As a mother of 3 young children I consistently put everyone else's needs before mine.
After I turned 40 I became a distance runner and in turn began to focus on my health and wellness. It wasn't until I worked with a health coach though, that my transformation truly began. Not only did I lose weight but I've since uncovered the types of food my body thrives on and which ones give me issues. I've given up diet soda and no longer go through my days in a fog. I was so inspired by my transformation that I knew I wanted to help others facing similar issues.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where we learned not just about the food we eat but all of the factors that affect our overall health.
As a certified holistic health coach I love celebrating with clients when they experience their own transformations. My mission is to help as many women as I can to ditch the frustration of dieting so they can enjoy lasting results without the cycle of shame and desperation that comes with short term fixes.
As a running coach one of my favorite things to do is to share my passion of running with others. One of my favorite runners, Bart Yasso said, "I often hear someone say, 'I'm not a real runner.' We are all runners, some just run faster than others. I never met a fake runner."
I love this quote because it shows how welcoming the running community can be. I'd love to work with you to welcome you in to the running world too!
Just recently at the awesome age of 51 I was introduced to the amazing line of skincare products from Rodan + Fields. I immediately fell in love with them and quickly realized I wanted to share these products with my clients. I mean if we're going to eat right and exercise why not take great care of our skin too? So I became a consultant and I seriously love the women I work with and more opportunities to help women look and feel their best.
When I'm not filling my days with work that I love I enjoy spending time with friends and family, running just about anywhere outdoors, trying out new recipes and new restaurants, reading and traveling. In short life is really good!
